James L Dinges  
James Dinges, 75, of Sublette IL. died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at Rockford Memorial Hospital. He was employed by Stephenitch Ace Hardware as a service technician for 25 years, and by Mendota Community Hospital in the maintenance department for 20 years, until retiring. Dad was born May 6, 1928, in Sublette, the son of Lester and Christine Bettendorf Dinges. He married Joan Loftus on Feb. 14, 1954, in Liverpool, England. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was A member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Sublette IL. Canadian War Plane Heritage. Mendota  Moose, Mendota Elks Lodge Post 453, and also was a Sublette volunteer fireman for 50 years. Survivors include his wife, five sons, Richard (Rhonda) of Nobelsville, Ind., Joseph of Sublette. Michael of Oregon. Paul (Nancy) of Abingdon and Stephen ( Joanie) of Sublette., two daughters, Patricia (Donald) Butcher of Pontiac and Regina (Douglas) Schaefer of Amboy., two brothers, William (Sue) of Rockford and Charles (Judy) of Youngstown, Ohio., three  sisters, Aileen Glasscoe of Rockfalls, Rose ( Raymond) Smith of Rockton and Mary Ann Dinges of Rockford., eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Rev. Matt Rudden officiating Burial, with full military honors conducted by Amboy American Legion Post 453, at St. Mary's Cemetery, Sublette
